Your Hosts - "Isabel Jerome"
- Isabel was born in Atherton, lived in Kulara which was submerged when the Tinaroo Dam was built.
- She moved to Mareeba, until 13 years of age, then moved to New South Wales.
- She then moved to Brisbane in 1985 & hosted overseas students for 20 years.
- She has now returned to her birth place where her great grandfather W.H. Bunker was a photographer in the early pioneering days of the Atherton Tablelands
- A visual history of logging, farming, wildlife & settlement of towns, weddings & events is preserved throughout the district by photographs taken by him.
- Isabel is fortunate to have many of these photographs in her B&B.
- Isabel is passionate about the district, its heritage & natural habitat & is ready to help & advise on making your stay rewarding.
